Fluor Hanford
Fluor Hanford is a contractor to the U.S. Department of Energy managing environmental remediation activities at the Hanford Site in Washington State since 1996. With 3,600 employees working to remediate and close this former plutonium production site, their partnership with unions and approach to EHS protect and strengthen economic, environmental, and community vitality. Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company
GPIC is a joint venture petrochemical and fertilizer company equally owned by the governments of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait, which commenced production in 1985 and currently employs 522 employees and up to 300 contractor personnel. The Bahrain Petroleum Company BSC(C)
BAPCO is one of the oldest and largest petroleum companies in the Middle East.  With 3,800 full-time employees and more than 1,300 contractors, BAPCO is the largest employer in Bahrain.  In a country of emerging regulations, BAPCO incorporates world-class international standards in its quest of "Striving for Excellence." With the leadership of senior management, the company successfully aligns its SH&E efforts with business operations.  This integration has allowed BAPCO to achieve record profits and 11 million employee-hours with no lost time injury. Alcan Inc.
Montreal-based Alcan Inc. is one of the world’s leading aluminum and packaging companies, with a workforce of 65,000 and operations in 61 countries. Alcan’s innovative EHS FIRST system has delivered about $43 million in savings while fostering a mindset and culture of believers and champions throughout the Company.  EHS FIRST is more than a system - it represents an attitude, a belief and an acceptance of responsibility and accountability to achieve world-class EHS performance at every Alcan facility. 2006 - Category II

DynMcDermott Petroleum Operations
DynMcDermott is a private New Orleans-based firm that manages the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve.  It employs fewer than 600 workers.  According to DynMcDermott, top performance and returns were achieved “because of, not in spite of, our focus on the worker, the public and the environment.” Since 2000, the EHS performance has met or exceeded 100% of DynMcDermott’s performance targets enabling the company to receive 100% of the EHS performance award fee from the US Department of Energy; in 2005, this amounted to an impact of almost $1,000,000.
