Review Process

The panel of reviewers consists of internationally known experts and leaders in the business, education, safety, health, and environmental fields. These reviewers are nominated by the Global Partners and represent management, labor, academic, and government perspectives from the various regions of the world.

The review process includes comprehensive evaluations and site visits to award finalist organizations. At least three reviewers will evaluate each submission that passes the initial screening process. Applicants designated as finalists will qualify for site visits. The Executive Review Committee will examine the results of site visits and information provided through submissions to determine a combined score. This score will determine the winners of the Robert W. Campbell Award, the International Award for Business Excellence through Safety, Health & Environmental Management.

Evaluation Criteria: The evaluation criteria reflect the core values that are to be recognized by the Award. They provide the foundation on which excellence in safety, health, and the environment from a business systems perspective is evaluated.

The evaluation criteria provide guidance in evaluation of Award submittals. Please take a look at our 2009 Information Packet (.pdf) for more details on evaluation critera.
