Why Apply

Earn Recognition and Make a Difference

The Award lends distinction and prestige to its recipients. Award winners are acknowledged not only as international business leaders, but as humanitarians who recognize the value of protecting employees and their environment.  Campbell Award Winners and Honorable Mention companies also bring their message of EHS management and economic success to the world for others to emulate.

Award-winning submittals are developed university case studies to educate and influence the next generation of business leaders around the globe.  The business case studies are published by the National Safety Council and made available to all Global Partners, key safety and health organizations, and internationally known safety and health educational institutions and business schools. Global Partners also provide award publicity within their respective regions.

Award recipients are recognized at the Opening Session of the NSC Annual Congress & Expo - the largest annual convention in the safety industry. They are also invited to present their success stories to cost-minded EHS professionals, educators, and advocates at the Congress.

The Award recipients are recognized at an invitation-only award banquet and receive the Robert W. Campbell Award trophy. Award recipients may promote their Award-winning accomplishments using the Award logo and title.

Through these and related efforts, Award recipients are showcased for their commitment to injury prevention and the improvement of lives worldwide. By their example, others can learn to excel in both EHS and business performance.

Gain Expert Advice

Each submittal is evaluated by multiple Reviewers from around the globe. Each of these experts provides written feedback on a variety of aspects of the submission. This includes comments and insights regarding the strengths and weaknesses of each management system. In this way the Campbell Award provides a unique opportunity for competing companies to benefit from the viewpoints of EHS and business professionals from governmental, academic, management and labor perspectives. This feedback can then serve as a tool for the continuous improvement of EHS for participating organizations.
